SDSV Roorkee, in association with the Charitarth Welfare Foundation, Dehradun organized a free health check-up and awareness session on 28th October, 2024 at our school campus. Villagers from nearby communities participated in the camp, where free medicines were distributed.

The event was facilitated by Ms. Nivedita Singh, a subject matter expert and practitioner with over 13 years of experience working in humanitarian and development sectors, focusing on child protection in diverse and challenging contexts.

Teacher's Day Celebration at SDSV, Roorkee

On Thursday, 5th September 2024, Swami Dayananda Saraswati Vidyalaya, Gummawala, Roorkee, organized a Teachers' Day celebration in honor of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, former President of India. After the morning assembly, the event began, with the principal, teachers, administrative staff, and supporting staff all in attendance.

Shri Krishna Janmashtami celebrated at SDSV Roorkee

On Monday, 26th August 2024, Swami Dayananda Saraswati Vidyalaya celebrated Shri Krishna Janmashtami with great enthusiasm. The primary objective of the celebration was to educate the children about the significance of Shri Krishna Janmashtami and the various names of Lord Krishna along with their meanings. The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the school principal, staff members, and students.

Students of SDSV Roorkee celebrated Raksha Bandhan festival with great enthusiasm. The School organized a special event to educate students about the significance of this festival. Rakhi making activity was organized in school and the children were told about the sacred bond between brother and sister. Students were familiarise with the customs and rituals followed on Raksha Bandhan.

The 78th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor at Swami Dayananda Saraswati Vidyalaya. The event aimed not only to commemorate this significant day but also to instill a deep sense of national pride and unity among the students.

A special session was also held for school children and their parents. Dr. Dheeraj Kumar Tyagi, Associate Professor at Core Medical College of Ayurveda & Hospital highlighted the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and encouraged the development of healthy eating habits. He emphasized the importance of parents providing nutritious tiffins for their children.

Over 200 people benefited from the program. Mr. Girish Uniyal, Principal SDSV expressed his gratitude to the entire team of doctors, dieticians, and counselors who participated in the event.
